Daniel Burkett made it 4 for 4Watkins Glen, NY – Daniel Burkett, the young Canadian K-Hill Motorsports driver, claimed his fourth straight Atlantic Championship Series win on Sunday at Watkins Glen. He was able to keep his perfect finish record, but was not able to grab a fourth straight pole position, starting second behind Comprent Motor Sports’ Jimmy Simpson.

Burkett took the lead and pulled away at the start.Watkins Glen – Twenty-two Atlantic cars took the green flag during race one of the Watkins Glen weekend. This weekend marks the first time the Atlantic Championship Series has run the Watkins Glen International circuit. Some teams have been here before, but for many drivers, this morning’s qualifying session was the first time they had completely dry laps on this track. Due to Friday’s weather, the first practice session was rained out and the second session was done on a wet track. Teams were not able to gather much set-up information from that session, but it did allow drivers new to this track to familiarize themselves before qualifying.

Ethan RingelWatkins Glen, NY – Rain and a power outage caused a short morning practice session for the Atlantic Championship Series runners session at Watkins Glen International on Friday. Heading into rounds three and four of the season, the weather is expected to be clear for the remainder of the weekend. Since the track conditions during the shortened morning practice session were wet, all teams elected to conserve their cars and not run, as a wet practice would not be beneficial for an expected dry weekend.

Rain at Watkins GlenWatkins Glen, NY – Practice activity for the F2000, F1600 and Atlantic Championship Series is currently on hold at Watkins Glen International due to heavy rain and a significant power outage in the area. Scheduled morning sessions will be used for street car track orientation. More information will be posted as it becomes available.
